Touching Ground Here

2013-05-11 23:11:42 by IoKusanagi

Hello everyone, I'm Io (Pronounced EEE-Yo or Eye-Oh) Kusanagi.

I was introduced here by a few friends from IRC, who said that here might be a good place to expand my creative bounds.

I've been a digital artist for a little over 8 months now, started in August on a small black Wacom tablet.
I've come to newgrounds to learn more about art as well as animation, which are from what I hear what newgrounds is famous for.

I'm hoping to meet a lot of new artists, maybe a few collaborators but let's not get ahead of myself, as well as learn as much I can.

=A little bit about myself=

I'm 17 years old, junior in high school, my hobbies are writing and drawing. I don't really play video games that much due to my crappy computer (2.75 GB RAM), but I do like old school RPG's and FPS games.

My favorite genre of music is orchestral/instrumental, but I'll often listen to heavy metal or dubstep when the piece I'm working on calls for it.

My favorite drink is milk (I consume almost a gallon daily), and my favorite dish is rice noodles in beef broth with rare steak and tendon (known simply as pho).

I'm also a fan of Hayao Myazaki films and Disney Movies, as well as MLP:FiM, though I'm not really much of a fan of most mainstream anime.

=About my Art=
I think the main things I draw are cute scenes and overly bad ace scenes, though it has been a while since I last drew an action scene.

On terms of romance, I will NEVER draw pr0n or anything like that.
On occasion, if the scene calls for it, I'll draw something that has gore in it.

Folds in clothing and Foreshortening are the my worst enemies in the realm of artwork. I think it might be something about how I perceive shadow and depth.

I guess that about covers it for now, check back sometime because I'll occassionally upload a new piece of art or whatever.

Artistically yours,
Io Kusanagi
